About Connecting Women in Business

 About Connecting Women in Business

Connecting Women In Business was launched by Stacey Aston of Astons Solicitors. The group was a huge success and she continued managing it for some years before handing over to Lindsay Aspinall and Dawn Gascoigne of Travel Counsellors who ran the network until spring 2018.

Virginia Hayden (above) of Change For The Better now manages CWIB. Her aim is to enable existing members to foster friendly, collaborative professional relationships whilst encouraging other women in business to visit the network and to join.

The aim of Connecting Women in Business  is to provide a forum in which like-minded professional  women can promote themselves and their business. Members share knowledge, offer support and work as a team to help each other gain valuable new business connections.

Format of a Connecting Women in Business Meeting

Connecting Women in Business follows a structured but simple format, which includes these networking activities over a two course luncheon:

  • A sixty seconds round to introduce your business and the types of connections you are looking for;
  • A 10 minute 1-to-1 exchange between members;
  • A presentation from a guest speaker, which aims to be informative, engaging and and inspirational;
  • A “Good News” Round to offer testimonials, share success stories and make referrals.

For the dates of our next meetings and a list of our guest speakers please view the meetings page

Fees

The annual membership fee is £200. Each lunch at Fawsley Hall Hotel is £25 for members. Although we hope that each member will attend regularly to maximise the benefits of networking, there is no requirement to attend every lunch regardless of availability.
